Lol New Patch (25.11)
Hey hey, we’re back with another patch drop — and this time it’s got some juicy Brawl balance tweaks!
First up, Garen’s getting a gameplay update (League of legends 25.11 Patch Notes. We’re shifting him away from those crazy burst crit builds and making his fighter setups actually work and feel good. So yeah, no more one-shotting everything… well, not as easily anyway.
Of course, we’ve got the usual balance tweaks too — fixing some stuff we went a little too hard on last time and buffing some of the weaker champs who really needed it.
Oh, and Swiftplay Champion Select? It’s getting some sweet quality-of-life upgrades — picking your champ and seeing your teammates’ runes is gonna be smoother and clearer.
On the behavioral side, we’re tightening things up. Habitual leavers? They’re about to get hit with harsher punishments. Plus, our detection system is leveling up to catch sneaky high-skill players who try to dodge the rules.
Now, flipping over to the Brawl stuff — we’ve got a loooong list of balance changes covering almost every champ. Some buffs, some nerfs, some tweaks — and even a fix for that weird strat where people were killing minions from base? Yeah, that was wild. Check it all out below!

What’s new in this new patch?
Quick rundown of the biggest changes coming your way.

The revamped Masque of the Black Rose skins for Vladimir, Samira, Renata Glasc, and Elise are dropping on May 28th, 2025.
Mark your calendar — they’re coming soon!
The live date for patch 25.11 just got shifted.
Heads up — because Monday the 26th is a holiday in the US, we’re pushing the 25.11 live date back by a day to keep things smooth with our usual rollout schedule.
So, 25.11 will drop on May 29th at the usual times for your region.
Easy, right?
Swiftplay Champ Select Upgrade
Before, you couldn’t see teammates’ keystone runes when hovering over their icons in Swiftplay. Now in 25.11, you can!
Plus, we’re adding two champ sorting filters so finding your faves is quicker and easier.
- You can now sort champs by “mastery” and “favorite.”
- Also, see your premade teammates’ keystone runes in champ select.
Behavior stuff updates
LeaverBuster’s getting smarter.
We’re raising the bar on what counts as okay AFK, disconnects, or leaving games.
If you just have the occasional glitch, no worries — you’ll be fine.
But if you’re a chronic rage-quitter or always dropping out, get ready for tougher penalties, and faster.
In-Game Negative Behavior
We’re tweaking the “In-Game Negative Behavior” system — yeah, the one for soft inting.
Basically, it’s getting better at catching players who should really know better.
For higher-ranked players, the bar’s getting lower — easier to spot bad behavior there.
Pride 2025
It’s our fifth year celebrating Pride Month — and the eighth year sharing cool in-game icons, homeguard trails, emotes, and more.
For 2025, we’ve got a brand-new free emote plus some fan-fave Pride items making a comeback.
Don’t miss out — grab them before the event wraps with patch 25.13!

We’ve got a fresh Rainbow Warpaint emote waiting for you the second the patch drops.
No missions, no Blue Essence — just one click, and it’s yours during the event.
Also, play 3 games with friends and snag some Battle Pass XP with a special mission.

Kill & Takedown SFX
Like we said in the Season 2 dev update — Kill & Takedown sound effects are finally here!
These slick sounds make those hype League moments even sweeter.
And don’t worry, only you get to hear them.
Plus, when you rack up multi-kills, the sounds get louder and crazier — basically your own hype squad cheering you on as you chase that Pentakill.
- Kill & Takedown SFX added.
- Also, tweaked some sound sliders — you can now adjust the new SFX volume with the “Notifications & UI” slider.
Champions

Aatrox
- Passive damage went down. Q’s sweet spot damage got a boost. W damage switched to physical.
We want Aatrox to actually feel good with classic fighter items like Black Cleaver.
Now that we have more ways to balance fighter vs lethality builds, we’re switching his W damage back to physical — so he can use more fighter gear like Black Cleaver.
He’s currently ruling top lane, so we’re dialing down some of his strengths.
Landing those Q sweet spots is gonna matter more now — both for damage and healing.

Passive – Deathbringer Stance
Damage: 4-12% max HP (based on level) ⇒ 4-8% max HP (based on level)

Q – The Darkin Blade
Sweet Spot Damage: 160% ⇒ 170%

W – Infernal Chains
- Damage Type: Magic ⇒ Physical

Annie
- Base armor up, armor growth down. W damage lowered.
Annie’s tweaks worked — she’s now a solid burst mage who leans on landing spells to deal damage.
But her laning phase still feels a little weak, and late game’s a bit too strong.
These new changes chill her power down just a bit overall, but give her laning way more punch early on.
Base Stats
- Base Armor (level 1): 19 ⇒ 23
- Armor Growth: 4.7 ⇒ 4

Ashe
- Q now stacks when it hits structures.
Unlike other marksmen like Caitlyn, Ashe’s Q didn’t stack on structures — even though it could still damage them.
That led to some weird gameplay moments.
Now, letting her stack Q on structures should make sieging towers feel way more natural and satisfying.

Q – Ranger’s Focus
- Now builds stacks when hitting structures.

Cho’Gath
- Armor growth decreased.
Cho’Gath got a bit too beefy with the recent changes, so we’re dialing him back just a little.
Base Stats
- Armor Growth: 5 ⇒ 4.5

Diana
- Passive monster damage increased.
Since the AP item changes, Diana’s killing it mid but having a tougher time in jungle.
We’re boosting her clear speed a bit so she can keep up now that early Fated Ashes isn’t her go-to anymore.

Passive – Moonsilver Blade
- Monster Damage: 225% ⇒ 260%

Elise
- Passive bonus damage decreased.
Elise’s been thriving thanks to the mage item changes, especially up in the elite ranks.
This tweak aims to slow down her clear speed a bit when she’s snowballing, and tone down her PvP damage over time.

Passive – Spider Queen
- Spider Form Basic Attack Bonus Damage: 12/ 22 / 32 / 42 (based on Spider From’s Rank) (+ 20% AP) ⇒ 12/ 22 / 32 / 42 (based on Spider From’s Rank) (+ 15% AP)

Garen
- W and E adjusted. R damage decreased.
We’re tweaking Garen to make his fighter playstyle actually work better.
The big changes? Judgment’s cooldown is down so he can hang in fights longer, and Courage’s active is stronger to help him soak more damage.
To balance things out, he’s losing some burst — less crit chance on E and less overall damage on R.
We want fighter builds to be Garen’s best bet, since right now they’re kinda weak.

W – Courage
- Cooldown: 23 / 21 / 19 / 17 / 15 ⇒ 22 / 19.5 / 17 / 14.5 / 12
- Damage Reduction: 30% ⇒ 25 / 29 / 33 / 37 / 41%
- Removed: 10% bonus resistances after quest completion.
- Fixed a bug where particles weren’t playing when successfully mitigating crowd control with the tenacity.
- Tooltip updated for clarity.

E – Judgment
- Cooldown: 9 ⇒ 9 / 8.25 / 7.5 / 6.75 / 6 (cooldown still starts after the end of the spin)
- Damage: 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 (+ 0 – 8.2 (based on level)) (+ 36 / 37 / 38 / 39 / 40% AD) ⇒ 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 (+ 36 / 38 / 40 / 42 / 44% AD)
- Crit Damage Modifier: 150% (190% with Infinity Edge) ⇒ 140% (172% with Infinity Edge)
- Removed: 150% damage to monsters.
- Removed: Partial cooldown refund based on remaining duration.
- Fixed a bug where fully channeled Judgment could leave the cooldown slightly higher than intended.
- Tooltip updated for clarity.

R – Demacian Justice
- Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 (+ 25 / 30 / 35% missing HP) ⇒ 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 25 / 30 / 35% missing HP)

Kassadin
- Base Armor increased. E damage increased. R damage decreased.
We’re not loving how Kassadin’s power spikes right now.
Early game feels kinda rough for most players, but if he gets to 30 minutes, he’s way too strong.
We’re aiming to smooth out that curve so he’s not such a rollercoaster — but still keeping level 16 as a real power high point.
Base Stats
- Base Armor (Level 1): 19 ⇒ 21

E – Force Pulse
- Damage: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 65% AP) ⇒ 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 65% AP)

R – Riftwalk
- Bonus Damage per stack: 35 / 45 / 55 (+ 10% AP) (+ 1% maximum mana) ⇒ 35 / 45 / 55 (+ 7% AP) (+ 1% maximum mana)
- Maximum Damage: 210 / 270 / 330 (+ 90% AP) (+ 6% maximum mana) ⇒ 210 / 270 / 330 (+ 78% AP) (+ 6% maximum mana)

Lucian
- E cooldown increased.
Lucian’s been running the bot lane show for a while now.
He’s supposed to be strong early, but right now he’s just a bit too good at snowballing those early leads.

E – Relentless Pursuit
- Cooldown: 16 / 15.5 / 15 / 14.5 / 14 ⇒ 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14

Rengar
- R cooldown decreased.
Rengar’s like a cat chasing ADCs instead of dogs chasing cars — but problem is, he can’t chase as much as he wants.
Even with low pickrate, he’s been one of the top Axiom Arc users, showing he’s hungry for more hunts.
So we’re giving his ult a jungle-focused cooldown buff to help him snowball harder from the jungle.

R – Thrill of the Hunt
- Cooldown: 110 / 100 / 90 ⇒ 100 / 90 / 80

Ryze
- W damage decreased. R Passive Overload damage increased.
Ryze took a hit from recent item changes and could use a little help.
We’re boosting his power around level 6 so he can get out there and start making plays.

W- Rune Prison
- Damage: 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+ 70% AP) (+ 4% bonus mana) ⇒ 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 70% AP) (+ 4% bonus mana)

R – Realm Warp
- Passive Overload Flux Damage: 40 / 70 / 100% ⇒ 60 / 80 / 100%

- W bounce damage increased at lower ranks.
Sivir’s scaling is solid, but early game feels rough.
We’re giving her W bounces a bit more punch to help her out early on.

W – Ricochet
- Bounce Damage: 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% AD ⇒ 40 / 42.5 / 45 / 47.5 / 50% AD

Samira
- Q lifesteal effectiveness increased. W damage decreased. R lifesteal effectiveness increased.
Samira’s stats look okay, but she really needs kills in lane to shine and can struggle in teamfights if she’s behind.
We’re boosting her lifesteal synergy so she can try builds that aren’t just max damage, while dialing back her burst combo a bit to balance it out.

Q – Flair
- Lifesteal Effectiveness: 66.66% ⇒ 80%

W – Blade Whirl
- Damage per hit: 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 (+ 60% bonus AD) ⇒ 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 (+ 50% bonus AD)

R – Inferno Trigger
- Lifesteal Effectiveness: 50% ⇒ 80%

Smolder
- Base Armor and Health Regen decreased.
Even though Smolder’s supposed to be a scaling dragon, his early game has been pretty strong.
We’re pulling back some of that early comfort so enemy poke hits harder and sticks around more.
Base Stats
- Base Armor (Level 1): 26 ⇒ 24
- Base Health Regen (Level 1): 4.5 ⇒ 3.75

Twisted Fate
- Q damage increased.
Twisted Fate’s been a bit underwhelming since the RoA changes.
These tweaks aim to boost his early game and make his wave clear feel smoother.

Q – Wild Cards
- Base Damage: 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+ 50% Bonus AD) (+ 85% AP) ⇒ 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 50% bonus AD) (+ 85% AP)

Twitch
- E AP Ratio increased.
AP Twitch has been rough for a while.
We’re not trying to make AP Support Twitch a thing, but there’s room to roll back a past nerf while we adjust AP items — then we’ll see where he stands after that.

E – Contaminate
- AP Ratio Per Stack: 30% ⇒ 35%

Udyr
- R damage increased.
Right now, AD Udyr with maxed Q is making a comeback, while R-focused Udyr builds are kinda falling behind.
We’re aiming to buff Phoenix Udyr so he can keep up, especially rewarding him for landing those R stance attacks.

R – Wingborne Storm
- Storm Damage per Second: 20 / 34 / 48 / 62 / 76 / 90 (+ 35% AP) ⇒ 20 / 36 / 52 / 68 / 84 / 100 (+ 35% AP)
- Storm Stance Empowered Basic Attack Damage: 10 – 30 (based on level) (+ 30% AP) ⇒ 10 – 40 (based on level) (+ 35% AP)
ITEMS

Horizon Focus
- Total Gold Cost: 2900 ⇒ 2800
- Ability Power: 110 ⇒ 115
Horizon Focus got some new mage fans but feels a bit weak overall.
We’re giving it some straight-up buffs to make sure Horizon stays attractive.
ARAM
Hey ARAM fans, in this patch we’re giving ADCs a little love to bring back some of their late-game damage punch.
For mages — especially Seraphine — we’re shifting power from her support tools to her damage spells.
Sett’s still pretty strong, so we’re nerfing his W a bit more to give enemies a better shot in fights.
As always, we want to hear what you think about pulling back on extra champ nerfs.
We’re listening and tweaking as we go. GLHF!

- Fixed a bug where Snowball was unusable after using Aurora’s R to kill a target.
BRAWL
We kicked off Brawl with just a few balance tweaks to get a feel for things, and honestly, it’s awesome seeing so many of you having fun in Bandlewood.
A lot of you asked for more champ balance, so we’re dropping a big update to make sure all classes and champs feel good in Brawl.
Right after launch, we dropped a hotfix to fix the most and least powerful champs (you’ll find those notes below), and now we’re smoothing out the rest — tweaking outliers and adjusting cooldowns for champs whose numbers didn’t quite fit shorter matches.
You shouldn’t have to save your ult forever ’cause you only get a few uses per game — especially champs with global ults don’t need crazy long cooldowns on a map way smaller than Summoner’s Rift.
Surrender timers and long-range minion clearing
So, last week we saw a team actually win a game from inside their base.
Funny, sure — but also kinda wild, so yeah, we’re fixing that now.
We didn’t want to flood Brawl with rules right off the bat — better to see what happens first, right?
Finding these wild moments is part of the fun anyway!
This patch, we’re making changes so no more base-winning shenanigans. Should barely affect players who just wanna play normally.
Also, we’re tweaking the surrender timer to 15 minutes.
That way if a game drags on way too long, teams can bail out without getting stuck.
- Surrender Timer: 60:00 ⇒ 15:00
- You now deal greatly reduced damage to minions if you’ve spent too long in your base. This debuff can be easily removed by leaving your base, but will be reapplied more quickly afterward to prevent abuse.

Bugfixes & QoL Changes
QoL Changes
- Pyke’s E phantom charge and dash sounds now move with the phantom.
- He’s also got a fresh passive heal loop sound.
- Akali’s Q aiming is smoother and more consistent in all directions.
Bugfixes
- Fixed Pyke R cast audio positioning so it now works right for several Pyke skins.
- Fixed a bug where Fiddlesticks’s Q couldn’t be reapplied immediately on the same target after cooldown.
- Fixed Naafiri’s Passive dogs running all over the map globally — yeah, we asked ourselves “What da dawgs doin?” too.
- Fixed Naafiri’s R not being blocked by Azir’s R.
- Fixed a weird bug where champs could get infinite XP under strange circumstances. (Yes, we saw the viral video.)
- Fixed Death Spectate not working in Practice Tool, Swiftplay, and some game modes.
- Fixed Rift Herald sometimes walking to the nearest enemy structure and charging it after a failed controlled charge.
- Fixed Sixth Sense triggering even while dead. Didn’t see that one coming either.
- Fixed Nimbus Cloak not activating after a long teleport.
- Fixed chat pings showing wrong bounty instead of the scoreboard’s actual bounty.
- Fixed some champs’ Critical Strikes going through Blind when they shouldn’t.
- Fixed Rift Herald charging through terrain but not damaging towers — now it respects all walls, even the ones you build.
- Fixed Kraken Slayer creating duplicate debuff icons.
- Fixed invisible Death Screen UI if a dead player disconnected and reconnected.
- Fixed Yasuo dealing way too much damage to K’Sante when K’Sante is using his R with Aftershock.
- Fixed Vi’s R not interrupting if she had Guardian Angel and died during her ultimate.
- Fixed Sion’s Q and Briar’s E being cancelable by attack moves.
- Fixed being able to dodge ARAM Low Priority Queue after AFKing and remaking.
- Fixed Pyke’s W ghost outline not showing when taking damage while camouflaged.
- Fixed Kled getting executed by Collector while mounted if the killing blow was higher than his total HP.
- Fixed Zilean’s second Q timer on the same target not having countdown sounds.
- Fixed Mordekaiser’s Q casting toward mouse location instead of his facing direction if he’s displaced.
